You’ve probably heard by now that Toys”R”Us is closing all 735 stores. The only real silver lining here is the potential for really deep discounts as liquidation sales start. Stores are slated to close by May 14th. Here’s some things you need to know:
UPDATE 3/23: After a false start yesterday, it appears stores are FINALLY beginning liquidation! Our store was only at 10%-30% off though, so you might have to wait a little longer for the BIG discounts! Here’s the discounts we spotted at our store:

UPDATE 3/22: Unfortunately for the shoppers, it seems the stores have POSTPONED the liquidation. Every reference to the date, like this article, updated this morning to REMOVE all dates. As of right now, we’re not sure when they’ll start, but we’ll be heading to our local Toys R Us every day to find out more! Check back and let us know what you hear!
Toys “R” Us Liquidation Sales Start Thursday March 22.
Going-out-of-business sales will start this Thursday (March 22nd), and items will continually be discounted by around 25% week after week until everything is gone.
Use ALL gift cards by April 13th.
Look for deep discounts on Apple products (already reported at up to 50% off).
Reddit shoppers have spotted Apple products like the Apple TV and iPod Nano for up to 63% off.
Fisher-Price baby toys are already selling for up to 50% off – will go even lower starting 3/22 (If there’s any left!)
Baby gear is currently selling for up to 40% off – will go even lower starting 3/22 (If there’s any left!)
Store may no longer accept returns – So be sure of what you’re buying before you buy it!
