Goodbye to Target Gift Card Moneymakers?!

Most shoppers know that Target does not give overage from coupons. However, a great way to score a moneymaker at Target has been through their gift card offers.

For example: A Target promo would offer a $5 gift card when you buy 3 select beauty items. You select 3 Nivea Hand Creme Tins at 94¢ each which totals $2.82 and you earn your $5.00 Target gift card which results in a $2.18 moneymaker. Several shoppers are starting to see that Target has stopped offering the promo gift card if your transaction would result in overage without any coupons involved. If you use coupons, then your coupon totals will automatically be adjusted to where you still score your item for free but no overage.
